Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly, attentively listen to their concerns, and effectively communicate service options available within the Buy Here Pay Here program.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire service process, addressing inquiries, and offering solutions to meet their specific needs.
Service Scheduling:
- Schedule appointments and allocate appropriate time slots for servicing vehicles based on the availability of technicians and the urgency of repairs.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure timely completion of services and keep them informed of any changes or delays.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Accurately document customer information, service requests, and vehicle details to maintain comprehensive records.
- Prepare necessary paperwork related to the BHPH program, including financing agreements, loan applications, and other relevant documents.
Estimations and Quoting:
- Assess customer vehicle issues, work closely with technicians to determine necessary repairs, and provide detailed estimates for the cost of parts, labor, and other associated charges.
- Explain and present estimates to customers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Order Parts and Supplies:
- Collaborate with the parts department to order necessary parts and supplies for customer repairs.
- Ensure proper documentation of parts used, associated costs, and warranty information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in automotive service management is preferred.
- Proven experience as an automotive service writer or a similar role, preferably in a Buy Here Pay Here environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers and provide empathetic assistance.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage service scheduling, documentation, and record-keeping accurately.
- Good understanding of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance to effectively communicate customer needs to technicians and provide accurate estimations.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for managing customer data, scheduling, invoicing, and related tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure and delivering high-quality service.
- Familiarity with Buy Here Pay Here financing programs and processes is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
